Easter Sunday

We went to Orange Grove for our Easter weekend and
had a very nice, fun, family weekend.
My inlaws have a nice, green spacious back yard where the boys
LOVE to play and run around.
Here are a few photos to share:

Joaquin posing with his little yellow wabbit.

Here we are trying to get the cousins together for a picture with their auntie.
Aunt Chana (Roxanne) is Robert's sister
and she loves her nephews and nieces very much.
Everyone decided to do their own pose.

Cousins, grandkids, nephews, nieces and neighbor kids
all join in for the Easter Egg Hunt.

Robert helped Diego during his hunt .

Joaquin going back afterwards to make sure no eggs were left behind.

Robert and his brother getting the Easter Bunny pinata
prepared for the kids to break.

That if you confess with your mouth, Jesus is Lord,
and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead,
you will be saved. (Romans 10:9)
Happy Easter!

Disney on Ice: Toy Story 3

Today we went to go see Disney on Ice
before we head out of town for Easter weekend.
The theme this year was Toy Story 3!

Joaquin has gone to the Disney on Ice shows the last 2 years
but today was Diego's 1st time going.

My best friend Valarie and her husband Edgar are both Joaquin and Diego's Godparents (Nino and Nina) and have turned the Disney on Ice shows into a traditional visit every year. They are the ones that have taken Joaquin in the past and the ones that planned to take the boys this year again.
Robert and I decided to join them to see what Disney on Ice was all about.
I must admit, it was a real treat.

Nino was not able to get out of work on time to meet us, but as you can see Nina spent great quality time with the boys.

This was as serious as the boys were going to be during a picture with their nina. Diego was so facinated with the swirly light toy nina bought him
and Joauqin was super excited with the show
and the toys nina bought him too, that he was being silly.

Rockport Wedding

We headed out this past weekend to Rockport, TX to celebrate
the wedding of one of our couple friends:
Oscar and Kendra

The boys were dropped off with my in-laws Saturday morning and we headed to Rockport for a nice short weekend getaway with no kids.

The wedding was absolutely amazing!
The mass was held in a nice historical catholic church Sacred Heart Church
close to the bay.

It was a romantic beach front wedding and the atmosphere
was so nice with a great venue and nice weather.

The bride and groom requested to have a photo booth
for their guest to take snap shots during the wedding reception.
This was such a CUTE idea!

Oscar and Robert have been friends since elementary
and have kept in touch ever since.

I had the pleasure to meet Kendra a couple of years ago, after they moved here and we hit it off right away. She is a nice, beautiful, outgoing, generous, warm heart person and they are both very lucky to have each other in their life’s.

CONGRATULATIONS OSCAR AND KENDRA!

Michelle's Birthday

Today was one of my best friend’s Birthdays!
We all went over this evening for some cake and wine and chocolate covered strawberries (yummmmmy)

I am blessed to have 2 best friends (Valarie & Michelle) who mean the world to me.
Even though our lives are currently occupied with school
(Michelle is in pharmacy school, Valarie is in nursing school & I'm finishing my degree) we stay connected with dinners/lunches/phone calls as often as we can.

They have both been there for me through thick and thin, and I hope that I have done the same for them.

 HAPPY BIRTHDAY MICHELLE!

Side by side or miles apart
True friends are always close to your heart
Whether you're turning five or fifty three
You know that I'm a true friend because you're here beside me
I'm here, right now, on your special day
So lets give a cheer for you, hip, hip, hooray!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY

My Little "Sluggers" 1st Swing at Tball

Robert played baseball growing up so it's great to see
Joquin play baseball now.

This morning was his first T-ball game and he had a blast.

I couldn’t get enough of these little boys who mainly just wanted to slide into third so they could get their pants dirty.
Some were slow, some were fast.
Some threw far and others didn’t want to let the ball go once they got it. Some hit it into the outfield while others just kept missing.
But who the heck cares???
They had a BLAST and looked oh so cute while doing it.

Here are some of photos from the game.
